What's the easiest way to receive my "NOA"?

No matter what part of the mortgage process you are in, almost every mortgage deal requires you to show your history of employment because income tends to fluctuate from one year to the next. Typically, your bank, broker or even CMHC, requires a two-year average of income statements from the Canada Revenue Agency called Notice of Assessments (NOA).

Canada Revenue Agency has recently made it easier to receive your NOA online. Utilizing the My Account option on their website allows you to track your refund, view or change your return, check your benefit and credit payments, view your RRSP limit, set up direct deposit and receive online mail. To receive your NOA quicker, under My Account you can request the access code for your NOA via e-mail. Enter your e-mail address, phone into ID yourself and receive the access code within seconds of the call. With this new option, you are able to obtain your NOA as quickly as 30 minutes.
